Protestation

(A Protestation is a basic statement affirming Catholic belief that was typically included in Catholic resources until the Second Vatican Council)

In all that I have written in this forum of knowledge, I submit to what is taught by Our Mother, the Holy Roman Church; if there is anything in it contrary to this, it will be without my knowledge. Therefore, for the love of Our Lord, I ask any wise people who are to read it to look at it very carefully and to amend any faults of this nature which there may be in it and the many others which it will have of other kinds. If there is anything good in it, let this be only for the glory and honor of God and in the service of His most sacred Mother, our Patroness and Lady, whose loving embrace, though all unworthily, I reside in.¹
