Have you ever seen a folded chausable, heard four collects at a daily low mass, celebrated the feast day of Saint Peter in Chains, or seen something called a 'Semi-Double of the First Class?' What are these, where do they come from, and do they still exist today?
Although most traditional Catholics today seek a return to tradition, to the ancient practices and liturgies of their fathers they do not know that prior to the Second Vatican Council, prior to the age of change, much had already been altered. Digging through history many have discovered these more revered and ever-older rites of the church and now seek a full return to tradition as it was unadultered before any whispers of reorientation and vernacular entered Holy Mother Church. They seek beauty, they seek the catholic liturgies as it was before 1955 and the Pian Reforms.
